Assistant Project Manager

Job Overview - salary £35k

• To support the delivery of NPD projects, working cross functionally to manage weekly meeting schedules, maintaining project documentation and critical paths.

• Lead the customer mobilisation phase, covering all planning elements from logistics to order release.

• Responsible for developing project plans to deliver the launch of new products for specified customer groups.

• Lead and maintain short and long term pick data volumes to enable logistics resource planning and delivery.

Job Purpose

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, with strong organisational and communication skills to co-ordinate NPD projects and work effectively with teams across the business. They will be confident managing project plans, maintaining accurate documentation and tracking critical paths to ensure successful product launches. The ability to lead customer mobilisation, co-ordinating activities from logistics through to order release, is essential, alongside strong planning skills to manage short- and long-term pick volumes and support effective logistics resource planning.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Project planning and management

• Manage the diarising of cross functional project meetings.
• Develop and manage project plans for allocated customer groups.
• Identify and escalate project risks.
• Develop mitigation plans to realign projects to plan.
• Lead pick data planning with the Logistics team to manage the specific activity and team resource allocation.

Reporting and Stakeholder Management

• Track project performance, progress through milestones and report on risks.
• Manage and maintain all project documentation comprehensively.
• Maintain a rolling 12 month logistics activity report – detailing short and long term pick / volume requirements by week, month and quarter.

Customer Mobilisation

• Develop and manage the customer mobilisation phase of all projects, aligning cross functional departments to meet deliverables.
• Ensure roll out data validation and order release to schedule.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

Essential

• Competent in MS Office inc Excel V lookups and formula creation.
• Project management exposure.
• Understanding of critical paths creation and management principles.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organised with ability to multi task.

Desirable

• Good understanding and use of critical path tools such as Microsoft Project.
• Proven track record of managing projects.
• Textile/clothing end-to end supply chain experience.
• Senior stakeholder management exposure.
